ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Ruby!
I’m an enthusiastic graphic designer excited by branding and packaging design. I'm currently based in Leeds however I hope to soon be moving to London. I have 3 years of experience in design, exploring handmade techniques in my projects such as screen printing, lino printing and painting.
I have recently achieved a First Class Honours degree studying Graphic Design at the University of Lincoln and I am actively seeking new creative career opportunities.

ACHIEVEMENTS & INTERESTS
Winner of Creative Conscience Award 2023
Acknowledged as a creative change-maker for my design work. Creative Conscience is a community and global not-for-profit organisation that believes that creative thinking and innovation can make positive change.
More details of what I have won will be updated after the award ceremony is held on the 19th of September 2023.
Awarded ISTD Membership 2023
In June of 2023, through the student assessment scheme, I was awarded membership into the International Society of Typographic Designers.
ISTD award membership to, "practising designers, educators and graduating students who demonstrate, through the quality of their work, their commitment to achieving the highest possible standard of visual communication."
Runner-up and Finalist for Roulette 2023
In July of 2023, I was selected as one of ten finalists for the Cameron Day Charitable Trust x SODA Studio Roulette competition and later chosen as a runner-up with my project PEKO PEKO.
SODA commented, "We thought Ruby’s project Peko Peko was well executed and totally believable. The company tagline ‘Plant Powered Sushi for the Soul’ worked brilliantly with the sharp visuals to make the concept feel incredibly real and her confident presentation skills really helped us picture it on the high street."

The Arena Mentorship - Mentee
During my time at University, I wrote my dissertation on women in the design industry. I learnt about common gender stereotypes women face when entering the sector, issues of women being able to reach leadership positions and the importance of mentorship.
The Arena is a creative community and mentoring platform for emerging creatives, to support, elevate and inspire. In April 2023, I applied for the Arena and I was 1 of 28 individuals fortunate enough to have been selected to have the opportunity to receive mentorship.
I was paired with Sophie Lawrence (Landor & Fitch) and Iossie Ng Lei (Wolff Olins), two incredibly inspirational women who I am currently working with to improve myself ready for my next creative endeavour.
